Brief Description
The first five verses of Surah 'Alaq were the very first words to be revealed to the Prophet. In the hadith of Imam Bukhari (Kitab Badil Wahi) there is mentuons regarding the commencement of the divine revelation. In this Kitab it states that revelation initially began through dreams.
Six months prior to receiving prophethood, the Prophet would see visions and dreams which would come true. During this period, the Prophet would go to the cave of Hira in Jabal Nur. He would seclude himself in worship and remain there for continuous nights in succession until his provisions of food and water would completely run out.
In this book, the blessings of revelation are mentioned in detail under the commentary of Surah 'Alaq. Furthermore, the commentaries of Surah Qadr and Surah Bayyinah are included.
